Seeing posts constantly about Christianity and modern astrology/human design...this felt so so beautiful to read especially the first thing in the morning! Thank you so much! My parents are practicing it right now...and I never knew the nuances of it...thank you so much for making me understand 💕
I'm so glad you found it useful Shruthi. Pitru Paksha is a very significant time indeed and It's good to know your family practices it. Thank you for your comment! 🙏
That's so wonderful to hear. Ancestral worship/connection isn't just limited to one culture. Anyone with an ancestor can connect to them and seek guidance in life. Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏
This piece got me thinking: If our ancestors are energetic beings watching over us, what kind of energy am I putting out into the universe for my descendants to inherit? It's a profound question that has me re-evaluating my actions and intentions.
That's actually a quite valid question to ask ourselves. We have to be responsible for our actions and behavioral patterns because it not only affects us and our closed ones but also our next generations. Trauma can be passed down from one generation to another through genetics and since we're the conscious generation, we must heal ourselves to not let that negative cycle continue down our lineage.
What a fascinating read, Sonaa! I learned many new things from your article and you’ve inspired me to do some research and learn more. I will check out your segment with Teri Leigh as well. She posted one with me this week where she did an ancestral reading for me and I’m still working with that energy and connecting with my maternal grandmother whom I never met. A deep bow and a lotus for you, beautiful soul 🙏🪷
Wow I have to check out your podcast too... perhaps I could link in this newsletter as well because it seems quite relevant to what I talk about here. Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm so glad you found it useful. A deep bow and lotus back to you! 🙏🪷
Another great article! I thought connecting ancestral karmic debt to epigenetics and generational trauma was a brilliant extrapolation. I was in Gaya many years ago and made offerings to my ancestors with a temple priest while knee deep in the Ganges. A very meaningful experience.
Sounds like a wonderful ritual to connect with your ancestors...as you must already know the significance of Ganga river and it's connection to the dead. The ashes of the dead are often immersed into Ganga river in Hinduism. Thanks for your thoughtful comment!

This article is so interesting. I often call on my deceased loved ones and ancestors to guide me, so this really spoke to me.

Such a divine practice that has to be done in a mindful way. Thanks for sharing this knowledge with us, Sonaakshi.
Yes truly....glad you could relate to it Shanjitha!
Thanks for the mention ❤️ and interesting to read your thoughts on intergenerational trauma as well as to learn about Pitru Paksha.
Glad you found it useful Sophie! It's all my pleasure to mention your post here 😊
